Stinky Yogi was founded by Yoga Teacher Stacey Orr, a Los Angeles native, professional social worker and DIY entrepreneur. In 2010, Stacey left her home and corporate life in Portland, Oregon after a life-changing experience at an ashram and headed East with essential belongings and a pug named Woo. She began teaching yoga full-time and co-founded a yoga teacher training (YTT) school, which spawned a new passion for conscious entrepreneurship. Somewhere along the way, an equal passion for aromatherapy began to brew. She began to make essential oil blends and natural body/beauty care products at her kitchen table — and Stinky Yogi was officially born in 2013. After launching her initial product line and website, Stinky Yogi featured on blogs and included in subscription boxes nationwide. Stacey finally took the leap and quit her day job to embark on a year long tour with Wanderlust in 2017 and relocated to Ithaca, New York as her new home base. She has gratefully been connecting with yogis and festival goers across the country ever since. The mission of Stinky Yogi is quite simple: we aim to be the products and people you want to get behind, and in turn we seek to engage your senses and lift up your mind, body and spirit with our handcrafted, yoga-inspired aromatherapy and body/beauty products. We are a small, independent woman/yogi owned & operated company living the mindful movement. We do our own thing and we don’t do multi-level marketing.
